This year is full of trips to Vancouver for food and exploring the city. I always stayed at Hyatt Downtown to take advantage its awesome public transportation system.

The main public transportation agency in Vancouver is TransLink, which operates buses, trains, and ferries throughout the Metro Vancouver area. TransLink’s buses and trains run on a variety of fuel types, including diesel, electric, and hybrid, making the system environmentally friendly.
One of the most popular modes of public transportation in Vancouver is the SkyTrain, an automated rapid transit system that serves the Metro Vancouver area. The SkyTrain has three lines: the Expo Line, which runs from downtown Vancouver to the suburbs of Burnaby and Surrey; the Millennium Line, which runs from Burnaby to New Westminster and Coquitlam; and the Canada Line, which connects downtown Vancouver to the Vancouver International Airport and the suburb of Richmond. The SkyTrain is known for its speed and reliability, making it a convenient way to get around the city.
In addition to the SkyTrain, TransLink operates a network of buses that serve the Metro Vancouver area. The buses run on a variety of fuel types, including diesel, electric, and hybrid, and are equipped with bike racks for those who want to bring their bikes on board. TransLink also operates a fleet of trolley buses, which run on electricity and emit zero emissions.

Ride on Buses.
For those who prefer to travel by water, TransLink operates a fleet of ferries that serve the Metro Vancouver area. The ferries connect downtown Vancouver with the North Shore and the suburbs of West Vancouver and North Vancouver.
Besides public transportation, there are also private providers, especially on water.

Overall, Vancouver’s public transportation system is convenient and efficient with a wide range of options to choose from, including buses, trains, and ferries, it’s easy to get around Vancouver without the need for a car.
