The list here is for the usual trips we took over the years. so I didn’t include Europe, Florida, and other places due to that they are not visited every year or frequent enough to be a routine trip planning. Or there is no direct flights and not convenient to visit as a short weekend or week long trip
Jun – Sept: Stay in Seattle!
Just explore nearby national parks, Vancouver Canada should satisfy all needs. You don’t need to be another place for anything. You can even walk in snow in shorts in July here. What else you can ask for?

Oct
It starts to get wet and cloudy here, so it starts to make sense to go around for the fall color nearby and some extra sunshine.
How about Arizona? It is a great time to do hiking, flying, swimming for Sedona, Phoenix….

It is kid friendly also with so many splash places around Arizona during Oct.
Nov
It is time for some serious sunshine. Hawaii, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta are your friends!

Dec
It is school break and a good chance to be soaked in sunshine with a theme park background. San Diego’s Legoland, sea world, Los Angeles’s Disneyland are among my favorite.

Jan
I hate to say but I seldom spent my time in Seattle during Jan month. Australia and New Zealand is among my favorite.
Plus you got to see the fireworks in their summertime in Jan

If you visit in July, then remember to bring your coats:

Feb
I will suggest Hongkong or Chengdu for the new year festival. Or early cherry blossom in Izu peninsula

in Shimoda, Shizuoka, Japan
March -April
Japan is my destination for March and April at least continuously 4-5years before Pandemic, I found myself always in Japan during April from 2015 – 2019. In 2020 due to Pandemic, I only caught early cherry blossom in Izu.

May
It is the dry season for Alaska and best shoulder season with northern light possibility!
